I really like this realistic illustration, but yet its not totally life like. It still has a certain style to it that I like.

This is a pretty interesting image in that if you view it at the full size its very hard to see what it actually is, only when its smaller can you tell that its a stormtrooper.

I really like this illustration, the big chunks of color and not but detail. Its mainly the colors that bring this image together and make it possible to see what it is.

This is another illustration that is a play on words similar to my last post. It also has the simplistic retro look to it and its pretty funny.

ran across this on ffffound.com. I like the hand drawn old school look of this, and the play on bazooka bubble gum is pretty funny.

This is a business card by Brent Couchman, it has a retro feel to it, very simple and clean. Just two colors and looks as if it may had been written on notebook paper. The logo is also catchy, looks like an owl on a branch but its a book and pencil.

This piece is by Allan Peters, I really like all the different little icons and what not overlapping and how the opacity of them creates new colors as they overlap.

This is a joker card from a set of Soviet Mayan playing cards that were made in soviet russian based on mayan art. I find them pretty interesting.

I stumbled upon this one on Booooooom.com, its a installation by Yang yongliango called "Cigarette Ash Landscape". its an image of a cigarette with black and white photos collaged together to make ash. The ashes then drop into a field of flowers. I find this piece to be beautiful and I interpret it as cities taking over nature, like ashes from a flame.

I'm not sure who did these or if they are actually used on Fanta cans but I think the style is pretty cool and fits the brand's image.

I came across this piece at
http://www.debutart.com/artist/alan-kitching
Very simple piece, it just something about the arrows and lines in red and black in contrast to the light blue coins in the background, make me like this piece.

I really like the clean style to it, not sure who its by but it seems to be maybe things the artist likes to make a world for himself or something.

I ran across this on my friends blog, its by Mike Lemanski and I really like his style and choices of colors. The whole image just has this feel of retro which the type writer helps out, but I feel that even without the type writer it'd feel that way.

This is an illustration I found by Konstantin Shalev, I really like the cartoony style and the colors for such a serious topic of all things bad.

I ran across this piece on fffound and I like the retro music aspect of this piece along with the faded colors that make it look retro. This is done by Scotty Reifsnyder and its a redesigned album cover for The Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique.

Another piece I found on ffffound.com, this one reminds me of the old 60s and 70s music posters but with a more modern feel because of the pilot helmet. I also like how it has a skull in it but its not totally noticeable.

Found this infographic on fffound.com and it jumped out at me with its colors and its topic which is color of the year for 2010 showing what colors were the most popular. Not only did I like the layout and graphics but the information is good to know too.

Not sure who did this piece but I found it on ffffound.com. I like the water color style and how the tentacles of the monster spell out the words. The colors are dark and fit the piece well.

Found this painting at:

http://www.booooooom.com/2011/01/04/artist-painter-jon-fox/

Jon Fox's work caught my eye with the colors and detail of the paintings and how it looks so digital to me but yet its not. I feel like this style has good potential in the digital field.

I found this image though printmag.com, which lead me to

http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Illustartion-and-something/136938

which has many great illustrations by an artist named Eika. I like this one because of its clean and simple design but its still able to have a strong depth to it.
